Survey HIV Diseases to Sex Worker

Since December last year, Health Department conducted a survey to a number of localization in the City - South Tangerang City . The survey was conducted to determine the extent of HIV disease in women sex workers.

Of the seven districts in South Tangerang, only North Serpong region which have not been recorded. Survey to the North Serpong targeted for completion by the end of January 2012 so that a number of women sex worker with HIV in South Tangerang been recorded and will be dealt with further in February.

In addition to data collection, health office of South Tangerang also deploy 12500 condoms in each localization. "While doing the survey, we distributed condoms to prevent the spread of HIV/ AIDS in South Tangerang," Alwan said as Section Head of Disease Prevention.

Not easy to do this survey to people with HIV. In the field, says Alwan, many problems that hinder the process of data collection. One problem is that the rejection of sex workers.
